longliveianto | Non-Anniversary Challenge Prompt Post (Reply)

Here are the prompts we have for the Non-Anniversary challenge in a simplified post. Here we go:

#1 - Jack transferred his immortality to Ianto inadvertantly somehow (choice of how is up to the author)and they don't know about it until after Day 4.

#3 - Restart back at Adam ... when Adam changed Jack's memory of his father and Gray, it damaged him somehow - made his worst fears a reality in his mind. The rest of season 2 and COE happens but not the way Jack remembers. When his mind finally heals its Post COE but the events transpired very differently from what he remembers- Owen did not die at the Pharm or again at the power plant, Tosh is very much alive, and Ianto is immortal (how that happens and what goes on with the rest of the events including Gwen's marriage, Steven, Gray is all up to the author). The team - as we knew it or expanded - has to help Jack reconcile his memories and what really happened.

#4 - Someone revives Ianto but something goes wrong and he ends up being evil/with his morality inverted/etc. as a lure for Jack to come back to Earth. (Then Jack saves the day, happy ending, etc).

#5 - How about...when the bomb went off in the Hub, it ripped open the Rift and Ianto was bathed in the released Rift energy...

#6 - When the Doctor opened the Void at Canary Wharf, it affected those within range by bathing them with Void substance. Ianto was one of them, but the only survivor. When the constructive wave is sent, it throws the ship of the 456 into the Void. When the Void opens, Ianto revives. It seems that the connection resets his system back to when he was originally hit with it.

UNIT has taken control of the bodies in the gymnasium by now, so Ianto wakes up surrounded by UNIT soldiers. UNIT is desperately searching for Jack (reason is up to you) and now they have Ianto.

#7 - Someone realises that the people gassed in Thames House aren't actually dead but that their heartrate/brain function is still there but only barely and are more like they are in a coma.

It's a race against time to save them as they are gradually dying one by one, but ...

On the flip side is what's going on in Ianto's head, to him his reality is being on a psycriatic (sp?) hospital with his mum and Lisa telling him that Torchwood is all in his head and that they want him to get better ... is this whats finally killing the coma patients?

#8 - Amy, Rory and doctor (lost count) pick up Jack on deserted planet where he is mourning Ianto and Steven (and Tosh and Owen if you like). They need him on a suicide like mission and Jack just wants to take his chance on losing his unability to stay dead...
The doctor is against the idea, as he is sorry for the grief he caused Jack and for the fact he wasn't there when Ianto died..it wouldn't have happened if he had been there...
Jack persuades him in a very Jack way.(yes, he will use seduction in order to get what he wants...)
In averting the end of the universe Amy and Rory are lost but there is some kind of reboot.
And things start on day one of the season that never was.
Jack remembers a very bad dream he had and starts calling in the doctor from the beginning....And he succeeds.
Ianto lives/Janto lives/Steven lives/ the doctor saves the day and all is well with the universe. And if you can find a way of smuggling Tosh and Owen in here...all the better.

#9A - This one can be crack!fic for those inclined, but doesn't have to be. Pick an ep after "Day One" - and then make the entire series from then being in Gwen's mind, in her quest to be the last one standing, the best of the best, the ultimate champion to protect the world from alien threats.

#9B - Still picking any ep in S1 or S2 as long as it's after "Day One", but it's Gwen writing Mary Sue fanfiction. Extra points for someone on the team finding it. Super bonus points to have the team reading the fiction together.

#10 - Time Beetles fall through the Rift and attach themselves to Jack and Ianto because they're both immortal and have the Vortex running trough them (the choice of how Ianto became immortal is up to the author). The Beetles then show them everything that could've happened from Exit Wounds on if they had made one decision differently (this decision could be the way Ianto became immortal) and up to the moment in Thames House. And then if the author wants the Doctor could show up and rid them of the Beetles.

No need to claim a prompt here. Just pick one (or more) and when you're done, post so we all can enjoy it. Simple, isn't it?

Also we decided to leave the prompt post open, in case someone else comes up with something so brilliant it would be a shame it never was posted because we closed the post. :D If anything else show up, I'll add it here.
