A/N: Okay, so quite a bit of this you will find very OOC, but remember, this is AU and teenage Jack – he is in no way the same as Captain Jack. Please keep that in mind as you read it, as well as any other concepts that come up over the story as I make it Jack and Ianto’s story. Oh and it’s equal opportunity with the sexes in this one. No gender bias here and we meet Tosh and Owen in this chapter.

Author's note:  A little break from the episodes, this story follows up on The Torchwood Murders and explores a few things revealed in that story.   The next story in this universe is going to be a bit more light-hearted, and should be up in a couple of days.
