Summary: Sequel to Incubus Jones: The Veil of Souls but you should be able to read this on it's own. When team of Torchwood Three encounters a new threat in the guise of an old friend, relationships will be tested, new bonds forged, and secrets long held will be revealed. With the team in peril far from home, it falls to their half-demon archivist and his guardian angel partner to save them before they are lost in time forever.

Previously: Jack and Celentina fought over Ianto in the arena while Tiana, Gwen, and Owen freed a very pregnant Rosanna and Owen helped her deliver her son. After Jack defeated Celentina, Andy informed him that he was now ruler of the Jarthan Galaxy as she had unintentionally wagered her kingdom by enacting the rite of Tiembai. Jack in turn handed rule back to the people and as Celentina protested, the Doctor deactivated the transmitters, exposing her for the beast she truly was. Furious at the turn of events, she struck out at the spectators of the arena. Ianto who had barely kept himself in check throughout the day, ringed the arena floor in fire, allowing the others to flee as he kept her contained. After she mortally wounded Jack, Ianto snapped, invoking the Hellfire Dragon, a great fire beast that crushed the fallen queen, burning her to ash. Battered and broken, Ianto held Jack as he breathed his last and promised to return, not knowing if his immortality would heal his wounds. Ianto prayed for his return before passing out from exhaustion and as we left them, the two heroes were enveloped in golden light.
