Disclaimer:  I don't own Torchwood, I would have treated it better.
Author's note:  I have decided not to rewrite "Combat", simply because it's fine as it is: Owen goes off the rails, does some undercover work, gets into a cage with a Weevil.  Nothing there really needs to be changed.  So, I've done a coda instead, having to do with something that happened within the episode itself that I wished had been addressed.  As usual, I've gotten the timeline from various fan-made chronologies and the TARDIS Index File.   This is also using a prompt for Long Live Ianto Cliche Bingo: Episode Tags and Missing Scenes.

And a big "Thank you!" to bookwrm89  , she really helped out with this part.  

Summary:  Gwen had thought she'd gotten away with taking the Retcon she'd used on Rhys.  She was wrong.
