Hello I was wondering if I could post a story where COE happened but Jack ends up in an alternate universe where Ianto is alive? He isn't immortal in the first fic but in a later one so would I have to post it as a really long one when I've got to that point?

Oh and I'm hoping to have a fic for the Halloween challenege finished for tomorrow, would it be possible to either have a Myfanwy!Ianto, or Dinosaur!IAnto tag please? Ooh and can I have an author tag too if I do post. I've just sent a request through for membership, thought I'd done it ago.

You also have the tags requested. You managed to do this on a day off for me, so I'm getting to this faster. Normally you have to wait for one of us to get home from work for new tags. Approving new members and fics I can usually do all day from my mobile, but not create tags.

As for the CoE fic, I'm going to have to say no, I'm afraid. The theme of this comm is that what we saw by the end of CoE either never happened or that Ianto comes back to life (even if by reincarnation at some point - hint, since I don't really know all of your fic and just in case. You know like soul tranference from one Ianto to the other would work too). But if the Ianto we saw die stays dead, then that's not for this comm.
You story does sound interesting however, and I'm sure I'll be seeing it posted to other comms (you might also want to join Epic Proportion if it's a long one posted in parts, 'cause that's what they're there for).

You're all set for your Halloween entry when you have the time. Oh, and if it's multi-part, all you need to do is get the first chapter in before the deadline to get a banner and make the challenge listing. You can post the rest as you're ready then (heck, I'm still posting parts of my Non-Anniversary fic!)

Thanks for replying. It's a shame about not being able to post here but I understand and I didn't really think my fic would entirely fit either. ^_^

I hated day four of COE and the first thing I said after it was they've done that so that Jack can go meet the Doctor in some alien bar. Lol. Didnt think I'd be completely right.

My fic starts where the Doc drops Jack off on the Plass but Jack see's Ianto and soon realises he's in an alternate world. I mainly wanted to bring back the whole team as well as our gorgeous welshman, change the original stories and add my own in.

Lol I've got about three sequels planned already and in one of them Jack will see our Ianto again and it will end with them together, but well it aint that simple. Lol. So thanks for replying I'll definitely look into that other site you suggested. I've just finished the first story so was just thinking about when to start posting it. Don't know if I'll start before Reel Torchwood or wait til after. ^_^

Anyway I'm rambling. Ooh and it's good to know about being able to continue posting after the deadline. I had the idea two days ago and it just took on a different direction last night where I could end up writing so much more. At the moment it's a oneshot where they meet and the end of that first meeting ends with a kiss and the promise of a relationship starting. I wanted to carry on but ended up writing a kind of epilogue that was six months later where Ianto is thinking about their relationship and vaguely about what happened in those six months (action wise).

Would that be enough for it to count or do I need to get my fingers flying on the middle bit and the development of the relationship. I'll write it either way but I want to make sure I'm not breaking the rules of the comm. Grins.

Sorry I bet you are so sick of me now. ^_^ I'll leave you alone.

I hate Day Four and Five. I really do. And that part of EoT where you were right - hate that too. So the Doctor could save Martha and Mickey and Luke, but he tosses Jack a man instead of saving Ianto and possibly even Stephen? WTF?!?

Your fic does sound interesting, but something you said in the plot intrigues me. Perhaps you can email me and answer my curiousity. Who knows, it just might fit here after all. Like I said, I don't know your full plot, which is why I gave hints of how to go around it. ;) Anyway, you might end up having your mods discussing whether to welcome the fic or not after you drop me a line. :)

I totally understand about bringing back the whole team. When I first started to write Torchwood fanfic, I mostly focused on post Exit Wounds only because I was still watching Torchwood when I found out Tosh and Owen died. I should have stopped watching and ran. Two main characters in one ep should have been a warning, but I loved Jack and Ianto too much to turn and run. But not only do I hate what was done to Ianto, but being so soon after Exit Wounds, I just want to shout "ENOUGH!" I'm glad I had plans to bring Tosh and Owen back in TAT. Not much to do about it in TB but any new series/verses and most one shots will include full team - alive and well after Exit Wounds and beyond. This is my ENOUGH.

I also totally understand expanding fics. So get that first part in before midnight PST tomorrow and you're in.

Also, just in case - while it won't mean getting a banner, we do encourage posting fics from past challenges. If something wakes up a plotbunny go for it.

We accept everything including drabbles, so there's no word limit on a fic, chapter, part, whatever. The important thing is Ianto being non-human of some type and extended life at the least. Of course, the promise is reading a developing relationship is always good and something to look forward to.

Nah, not tired of you. Never tired of people who feel the same way we do about CoE. This is one of the reasons we have this comm. We're just taking it a step past the other denial comms out there (which I completely support!)
